“Hundreds of years there were few atheists as compared with today’s world. Many human beings like myself have often wondered about atheists – many questions come to mind. Why do they exist? Are they born that way, or the bigger question: What made them like this. After 7 months of speculation, I have determined many of the answers. From what I have determined, atheists are definitely not born like that. They are made that way or result in being unbelievers for many reasons – the biggest one being lack of faith, but there are many other causes. Atheists can be found throughout the world but the majority are in Europe. They come in all walks of life – from poor to very rich – from Bill Gates, to Clint Eastwood or even Linda Ronstant. The atheists I have spoken with have told me that ‘they can’t believe in something they can’t see or especially feel’. While believers, like me, can tell you that ‘we talk to God everyday. So it seems that they abandoned God after some sort of tragedy, or they never recognized God when He called them, or they have never had any root – meaning that God to them can’t exist because they have been ‘just fine’ without God’s true meaning. One of my colleagues here at work told me a few months ago “how can I believe in God when I have never had any kind of communication with Him..” another told me “If God is real, why he let such terrible things happen? If I were God, I would never let such horrible things happen in this world..” and finally, another worker told me “I don’t believe in God because, well, let me say this nicely – where is He?…”. After this I came to the conclusion that Atheists belong to the lists of ‘deadly sins’ that are stated to be: lust, gluttony, greed, envy, sloth, wrath and pride – because all these states are real, and can be seen all over the world. Atheists became victim to one of these ‘deadly sins’ or more. They have been consume by one of those deadly carnal sins – if not more than one. And atheists believe only in what THEY CAN SEE and Feel. The majority of people have never met me, so to them I guess I don’t exist? I can feel God in my life – they can not because they have never opened there heart to God. When I argue with atheists I tell them – “God is invisible to us, just like the air you breathe that keeps you alive – because God is Life, not death.

He said he was the God of the Living, not the dead. And when they tell me “Show me God” – I tell them “Show me your blistering headache.” Most of them say nothing. I guess they expect God to have a special telephone number for them so they could believe. Lately, it seems the cell phone has become their new god. Truly ridiculous.

Belief in God is like maintaining a garden. You need to take care of it – by showing it in faith and prayer. These people never did that – or if they did at one point, tragedy took it away from them. I have been the center of tragedy – but I’m not getting into that one because my tragedies have been hurtful and certainly I do not want to live in the past with them. Let them stay there, I’ll keep moving forward with God on my side. My message to any unbeliever: Don’t let tragedy take away your faith or your hope. Never. If you do, you just gave evil a triumphal win and you are the loser. Nobody can replace you. Nobody. Only God can replace you because He created you. Keep the faith, the hope. Peter Worthington, our CEO has nothing nice to say about unbelievers. He told me once: “If you don’t believe in God, then when you die you become exactly what you believed in – nothing”. He left me thinking about that – and that was 3.5 years ago when I was just beginning to read the bible and still had doubts. He did influence me. I hope I influenced someone today – if only 1 person. – Danny Duran.
