Daniel Duran was born in Argentina but spent most of his time in Canada and wanted to become an actor but after appearing in a few films, mostly as an extra, he pursued a career working for the WJG after living in his car for several months. His father is Spanish and from Argentina. He was estranged from his family after being ‘outed’ by gay magazines found under his bed. Known to be very talented and intelligent by his peers, he was mostly hated by WJG personnel when he first started in 2017 for being ‘arrogant’ and extremely foul mouthed and promiscuous. After a life-changing event in 2021, he is now widely accepted by mostly everyone at HW and WJG. After being agnostic throughout most of his life, Duran began to study Christianity in 2021, has accepted his frailties, and befriended his “worst enemy” (WJG Associate Michael Doel) in 2022, and now both men are domestic partners after loathing each other for years that even included episodes of violence towards each other. Daniel says now his ‘best friend’ is Michael and considers Mitch Jordan like a ‘little brother’ after making Jordan’s life miserable for years for being a ‘midget’. Daniel Duran has won 54 awards working at the WJG since 2016. He is a dance instructor, loves Disco Music from the 1970s, sings, plays the flute and saxophone. Among his top 20 Films of all time, his favorite is “ORDINARY PEOPLE” From 1980, for “Teaching him about forgiveness in his life”. His favorite song is “Catchin’ Faith” (WJG-HW ANTHEM -1). His mother recently was killed in a car accident in 2025. His father has not spoken to him since 2015 after discovering his son’s sexuality. His grandmother remains alive in Ireland and she now speaks to him after 12 years of silence due to his life’s choices. His father migrated to Argentina from Madrid. Daniel recently survived a near-fatal bout with pneumonia in November, 2024 and was on a respirator for days. Daniel has 42 CyberGuard-of-the-month awards among numerous other awards including CyberGuard-of-the-Year for 2024 and winning Most Valuable CyberGuard in 2025. His favorite foods are barbecued ribs, stuffed Greek potato, and Banana Crème Pie. After being an alcoholic for years, he quit drinking in 2021 and his favorite drink Is now Diet Dr. Pepper and Coca-Cola Light with a ‘squeeze of lemon’.
